Restrictions:
The fibrinolytic treatment of acute ischaemic stroke is restricted to specialist centres with adequate resources and appropriate expertise and in accordance with detailed protocols. The thrombolytic treatment of occluded central venous access devices including those used for haemodialysisis restricted to second line use after urokinase.

25mg (5000 units) vials used by stroke specialists for the thrombolytic treatment of acute ischaemic stroke in adults within 4.5 hours from last known well and after exclusion of intracranial haemorrhage, as per GGC clinical protocol (in development).
50mg (10 000 units) vials used for acute myocardial infarction.
