Therapeutics Handbook Update October 2020
The Adult Therapeutics Handbook content has now been updated.
This update includes updates to the following guidelines:
- Management of Problematic Drug Users in Hospital – this is an abbreviated version of the GGC guideline on StaffNet.
- Immunocompromised patients with fever – contains the updated GGC Neutropenic Sepsis guideline
- Immune-related adverse events – see below
Immune-related adverse events
This is a new guideline included in the oncological emergency section of the Therapeutics Handbook. The guideline describes immunotherapy agents, the main adverse effects associated with them and general management advice, with a link to more detailed guidance on the West of Scotland Cancer Network Intranet. Immune-related adverse reactions are complex and if suspected require specialist input.
